What is the Cosmelan® Peel & how does it work?

Is a Cosmelan® treatment painful?

When the peel is applied to can be itchy and tingle then it settles. During the downtime you can experience sensitivity, inflammation and redness which settles after a day or two.

Will my skin peel?

 

Yes however the peeling can differ from person to person. Some may experience minor flaking of the skin while others may experience more peeling

Contraindications

​

Cosmelan® is contraindicated in pregnancy and breastfeeding, acute/untreated hormonal disorders (e.g untreated thyroid disease, advanced organ disease (e.g. renal/hepatic failure), allergy to the substance or materials necessary for the procedure, severe autoimmune disease, immunosuppression, active infection and Body Dismorphic Disorder (BDD).

We have the standard BioRePeel on its own which is perfect for those targeting active acne. The we also have amazing BioRePeel combination treatments which are deeper treatments designed to heavily target and diminish hyperpigmentation and dark scarring. The advanced combination treatment packages are the perfect alternative to the Class A Green Peel Package especially the BioRePeel Pigmentation Plus package and the BioRePeel Full Transformation 2 phase treatment.

The BioRePeel Advanced Combation treatment are: 

 

BioRePeel Plus Facial - 

This is a specialised facial that effectively combines the BioRePeel with Microneedling! If you have concerns such as mild hyperpigmentation, uneven skin tone, dark scarring & signs of ageing then this is a great combination to go for. However if you have active acne please go for our BioRePeel facial on its own or a green peel package as Microneedling is not suitable for active acne

BioRePeel Pigmentation Plus - 

This is a specialised facial is more intense and deeper than the BioRePeel on its own and the BioRePeel Plus because not only does it effectively combine the BioRePeel with Microneedling it also includes an application of a higher percentage BioRePeel which is applied only to the darker areas/hyperpigmentation/ dark scarring! This intensifies the results for hyperpigmentation. It’s a great alternative to the Class A Green Peel package. 

 

If you have concerns such as mild to severe hyperpigmentation, uneven skin tone & dark scarring then this is a great combination to go for. However if you have active acne please go for our BioRePeel facial on its own or a green peel package as Microneedling is not suitable for active acne

BioRePeel Full Transformation - 2 Phase Treatment 

This package includes 2 facial treatments! The 2 sessions are  done 2-3 weeks apart.

 

This is a extraordinary specialised treatment, this is the most intense BioRePeel combination! Not only does it effectively combine the BioRePeel with Microneedling and include an application of a higher percentage BioRePeel which is applied only to the darker areas/hyperpigmentation/ dark scarring! The medical solution that’s needled into the skin is a powerful tranexamic acid & glutathione ultimate brightening meso therapy and you’ll be given a medical hyperpigmentation aftercare cream to use for the next couple of months. 

 

This intensifies & escalates your results for hyperpigmentation. It’s a perfect alternative to the Class A Green Peel package.

IS THERE ANY DOWNTIME?

 

The next day you can resume life as normal including makeup and exercise however we do recommend not wearing makeup for 24-48 hours.

 

 

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE FOR ME TO SEE RESULTS?

 

Results can be seen after the second peel, roughly 1 week after treatment as skin can appear more radiant and fresh however it takes 4 weeks to see the full results of the peel. For optimum and long-term effective results we recommend 4-6 treatments as 1 season will not be enough to achieve desired results.

 

 

WHO IS THE BIOREPEEL SUITABLE FOR?

You are unable to have treatment if you have any active infections or active psoriasis in the treatment area
